International Day of Happiness – March 20th

Today is International Day of Happiness and this year’s theme is Happier Together, focusing on what we have in common, rather than what divides us.

Which couldn’t be more appropriate after the horrific attack last week on our Muslim Community in New Zealand.

Everyone wants to be happy – and life is happier when we’re together. So let’s celebrate our common humanity. Let’s not compare people on the outside, let’s compare what we all are on the inside, human beings. Human beings who want and need positive connection. Happier Together.

The International Day of Happiness is celebrated worldwide every March 20 and was conceptualized and founded by philanthropist, activist, statesman, and prominent United Nations special advisor Jayme Illien to inspire, mobilize, and advance the global happiness movement.
