Upskilling in Eating Disorders and Body Image

Join us for this essential PREKURE-Ed Signature Session with Jess Dyson, Eating Disorder Recovery Coach, to deepen your understanding of eating disorders and body image. This session is designed to empower you with the knowledge and tools necessary to make a significant impact on your clients’ health and wellbeing..

About the Speaker: Jess Dyson

Jess Dyson is the founder of Redefined Coaching, a specialised Eating Disorder Recovery Coaching service that aims to equip people with the tools they need for recovery. She is passionate about bringing hope into the battle of eating disorders and believes that recovery is possible for everyone.

At Auckland University, Jess studied a Bachelor of Social Work and completed postgraduate study in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. Throughout her career, she has undertaken specialised training in various eating disorder treatments and body image training. Jess has worked with the Auckland District Health Board in general mental health and the Auckland Regional Eating Disorder Service.

Jess is passionate about equipping professionals with knowledge and tools so that people can access the support they need. She speaks in schools to aid in prevention – discussing body image, eating disorders, bullying and social media. She also founded the Hope night, along with the NZ Eating Disorders Clinic (NZEDC), an annual event where many individuals and families find hope in the middle of their battle.
