The  New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) has evaluated the Certificate in Mental Health Science (Micro-credential) delivered by PREKURE and has assessed it to equivalent to 21 credits (21 x 10 notional learning hours) at Level 6 on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF).

The Australian Qualifications Framework has equivalency with the NZQA e.g. Level 6 microcredential with NZQA is the
same as Level 6 on AQF.

Do I need to be a Health Coach or have any previous learning in the health field?

No. There is no prior learning required for entry into this Certificate.

What does the assessment involve?

Complete all online modules (PK301-306) and online assessments by passing all tests with 75% or more.

If I complete the Certificate in Mental Health Science will I qualify as a Mental Health Coach?

No. You will graduate with your Certificate in Mental Health Science.

This Certificate covers the theory of lifestyle medicine for mental health. To qualify as a Mental Health Coach, you must also:

1. Undertake our Health Coach Program to learn the core foundational skills of health coaching, and

2. Complete the practical mental health coaching skills live labs as included in the Certificate in Mental Health Practice.

You can certainly choose to become a Mental Health Coach in the future after completing this Certificate. Please contact us to discuss your upgrade options.
