We follow the industry body - HCANZA - standards for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to ensure the ongoing quality and high standards that PREKURE Health Coaches are known for. Ensuring our Health Coaches complete annual CPD supports our mutual success and protects the strong reputation of our community of Health Coaches. Maintaining regular CPD will also help you manage your own learning, growth and health coaching competency.

To complete your annual CPD declaration, simply complete your 10 hours of CPD and submit the form below. If you're a PREKURE Certified Mental Health Coach you’ll also need to undertake a minimum of 4 x Coaching Supervision sessions annually.


  • Demonstrate your commitment to remaining current in your Health Coaching practice by following the HCANZA industry body standards of 10 hours of CPD per annum.
  • Retain your status as an active PREKURE Certified Health Coach (and use of your PREKURE Health Coach name and brand mark).

Course Overview

This course includes:

Module 1. An overview of medicine

Learn about the history of medicine, the cost of modern medicine and why lifestyle is a key part of the solution.

Module 2. Advanced Health Coaching

Learn advanced Health Coaching techniques to take your practice to the next level, including motivational interviewing, communication and referral as well as the importance of coaching presence, reflective practice and continued professional development.

Module 3. Understanding medications

Understand the different types of medications and their classifications, how they interact with each other, how to interpret blood test results and the importance of deprescribing.

Module 4. Navigating the system

Learn how to navigate the healthcare system, from empowering clients to regain their autonomy to helpful tips and tricks for making the most out of consults with doctors. Explore the healthcare journey holistically and understand the importance of advanced care planning.

Module 5. Building your Health Coaching Business part 1

Basic principles for starting your own business as a Health Coach, including finding your niche, the three levels of business, and how to start small and grow, learn and iterate your business model.

Module 6. Building your Health Coaching Business part 2

The nitty gritty of starting your own business, from creating your vision, to identifying, finding & attracting your target clients and setting up your business (in the practical sense).

When does the course start and finish?

The course opens on the day you enrol and you have until the end of the following month to complete the course. So for example, if you enrol on July 10th, you will have until August 31st to complete the course.

Can I go at my own pace?

Yes. You have online, anytime access for one month. The course can easily be completed within four weeks by committing to approx 5 hours of work per week.

Do I get life-time access to the course materials?

No. However, each module comes with notes that you can download.

Do I receive any certification for completing the course?

You will receive a PreKure Certificate of Completion for this course.

What happens after I finish the course?

If you would like to continue learning, choose another short course, or cross-credit into one of our Certificates.

What if I am unhappy with the course?

We would never want you to be unhappy! If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, contact us within 30 days and we will give you a full refund.

I am a nurse, does this course counts towards my CPD credits?

Yes, it counts as 20 hours.

Do I have to be a Health Coach or PT to do this course?

No. This course is perfect if you are looking to upskill for your own benefit. You will learn many tips and tricks that will help you and your loved ones personally. To date, we have had GPs, nurses, full-time mums, gardeners, IT specialists, and more enrolling on this course!
